WARRANTY STATEMENT

Prestige Bath Enamel Repair undertakes the repair of damaged items such as baths, shower trays, sinks, etc.

Bath, Shower trays and sinks were originally manufactured in tightly controlled and often sterile environments.

Intense heat or high pressure may have been used in their production. Baths and sinks have been created in a furnace. Since we cannot duplicate these conditions on site, there are limitations to our processes that are created by the location of the item/s and the condition of the items.

Airborne dust from any source will fall on any flat surface and can create slight defects. This is due to environmental conditions. We do our best to make the air as dust free as possible, but we can’t duplicate the original manufacturing environment.

Existing flaws or defects caused during the manufacturing process or simply due to wear and tear and age of the item unless attended to will adversely affect the finish.

These flaws and defects may incur extra work and costs not originally quoted for prior to inspection. We will inform you of this at any time if needed.

Prestige Bath Enamel Service is designed to give you a quality finish that will last, as well as save you both time and money on plumbing, removal costs, etc.

Repair and/or resurfacing is an alternative to replacement; whilst the item/s or area/s may look as good as new, they are not. We repair as best as possible and to the highest quality we can achieve in environmental circumstances.

Prestige Bath Enamel Repair offers the customer a warranty of 1 Year from the date of the work completed. The 1-year warranty covers our repairs on baths, showers, sinks, unless specified otherwise.

We also offer 1-Year warranty on baths, Showers’ and sink re-enameling which covers flaking or cracking of the enamel surface. The warranty also covers peeling of the surface and general failure of adhesion to the surface, subject to the following conditions:

Prestige Bath Enamel Repair technicians are not trained, equipped, authorised or insured to do work outside of those for which they are specifically employed by Prestige Enamel Bath Repairs to do so. If they are asked to remove or replace any fixtures at your request, it is done solely as a courtesy and the responsibility for any damage is the customer’s.  Our technicians may remove or loosen handles, taps etc. and will be responsible for returning them to their original places unless the age or general decay of such fittings makes it impossible to do so.

  3. After 1 year the warranty will come to an end, and Prestige Enamel Bath Repair will not be subject to further requests.

After Care:

Your newly repaired item or damaged area requires a period to thoroughly cure. Please do not touch the repair or put items on it until after the recommended curing time has elapsed completely. For LARGE RESURFACED items or areas, such as baths, basins, and ceramic tiling, please allow a minimum of 48 HOURS BEFORE USE. For SMALLER damage rectification a minimum of 12-24 HOURS should be allowed prior to use.

No abrasive products, chemicals, or dyes. Cleaning instructions for the repaired area will be in line with the original manufacturer’s specifications i.e., only household creams or liquid cleaners (not containing abrasives) are to be applied with a soft cloth or Fiber Clothe (not an abrasive pad such as ‘Scotchbrite’ or a similar brand). Discoloration can be caused by staining from chemicals such as dyes, including hair dyes, and products containing black or acids/alkalis. Test any new products in a small and unobtrusive area.

No excessive heat, movement or standing water Our repairs are designed to react in a similar way to the substrate’s normal operating parameters. However, we do ask you to take care by not applying direct flame or heat exceeding 350 degrees Fahrenheit (177 degrees Celsius), avoiding excessive structural movement or movement of the fixtures and avoiding excessive moisture caused by standing water. New physical damage such as chips, scratches, or the emergence of rust, is not covered under warranty.
